2004 Bentley Arnage T Mulliner

First Registered in 2004 — Built to 2005 Model-Year Specification

Some cars are fast.
Some cars are luxurious.
Some cars are rare.

This Bentley is all three.

The Bentley Arnage T Mulliner comes from an era when Bentley still built its flagship saloons the old-fashioned way — by hand in Crewe, with huge engines, real wood, acres of leather and an unmistakably British character.

This example was first registered in 2004, but was built to the updated 2005 model-year specification.

And only 174 right-hand-drive Arnage T models were produced for that model year.

The Highlights

• 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8
• Around 450 bhp
• 875 Nm / 645 lb-ft of torque
• Rear-wheel drive
• 0–60 mph in around 5.5 seconds
• Top speed around 168 mph / 270 km/h
• Handbuilt in Crewe, England
• Mulliner specification and badging
• Le Mans-inspired front-wing vents
• Quad exhaust outlets
• Large split-rim Bentley alloy wheels
• Cream leather interior
• Dark wood veneer throughout the cabin
• Bentley embroidered seats
• Two-tone leather steering wheel
• One of only 174 RHD Arnage T examples produced for the 2005 model year

Mileage: 86,000 miles

6.75 Litres. Twin Turbo. 875 Nm.

Under the bonnet sits one of Bentley’s most famous engines.

A 6,750 cc twin-turbocharged V8, producing approximately 450 bhp and 875 Nm of torque.

This isn’t an engine that needs to be revved hard.

The Arnage T is all about effortless power.

Press the accelerator and more than two and a half tonnes of Bentley surge forward on a huge wave of torque.

And despite its size, it can reach 60 mph in around 5.5 seconds and continue to almost 170 mph.

That is still serious performance today.

Mulliner

This car also carries Mulliner specification and badging.

Mulliner represents Bentley’s historic coachbuilding and bespoke division — the part of Bentley responsible for more individual and special specifications.

On this car, that character is immediately visible.

• Cream leather
• Dark wood
• Bentley embroidery
• Two-tone steering wheel
• Mulliner exterior details
• Split-rim alloy wheels
• Quad exhausts
• Distinctive front-wing vents

The result is a Bentley that feels noticeably more special than a standard luxury saloon.

The “Shark Gills”

One of the most distinctive details on this car is the set of vents low down on the front wings.

These Le Mans-inspired vents, sometimes referred to as Bentley’s “shark gills”, give the Arnage T a much more aggressive appearance.

And the Le Mans connection runs deeper than that.

The name Arnage itself comes from the famous Arnage corner at the Circuit de la Sarthe — home of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

So hidden inside this huge British luxury saloon is a genuine link to Bentley’s motorsport history.

Handbuilt in Crewe

Lift the bonnet and you find another detail that makes this generation special.

The engine carries its own Bentley plaque stating:

“Handbuilt in Crewe, England.”

That tells you exactly what kind of Bentley this is.

Not mass-market luxury.

Not a giant screen with leather wrapped around it.

A proper old-school Bentley.

• Hand-finished interior
• Real wood
• Analogue instruments
• Physical switches
• Huge V8
• Rear-wheel drive
• Built in Crewe

Updated 2005 Model-Year Specification

Although first registered in 2004, this car was built to the updated 2005 model-year specification.

That model year brought a series of refinements to the Arnage, including updates to the chassis, suspension, exterior details, interior layout and technology.

So this car combines two very desirable things:

the old-school character of the original Arnage T with the refinements of the later updated specification.

Rare in Right-Hand Drive

Production figures show only 174 right-hand-drive Arnage T models for the 2005 model year.

That already makes it an uncommon Bentley.

Add the Mulliner specification, the distinctive vents, split-rim wheels, quad exhausts and classic black-over-cream colour combination, and this becomes a particularly interesting example.
